City Council Regular Meeting — 02/14/05 DRAFT Minutes - Page 2 which was served to volunteers by the Parks and Recreation Commission and staff; followed by a program with Parks and Recreation Lonnie Brokke speaking and attended by Mayor Klausing. Ms. Pederson thanked all who participated, and specifically Mayor Klausing for his attendance and Mr. Brokke for his expressions of appreciation. B. David Shove, 1624 W Eldridge Mr. Shove, representing the Green Party of St. Paul, announced an upcoming informational program and public discussion on the Twin Lakes Shopping Center on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 from 7:00 — 8:45 p.m. at the Roseville Public Library on County Road B and Hamline Avenue. Mr. Shove noted that issues scheduled for discussion included the environment, economic impact, and public process with neighborhood residents, Geoff Gorham, A1 Sands, Steve Burwell, (a local businessman) and Councilmember Amy Ihlan scheduled to speak at the meeting. Mr. Shove further noted that Senator John Marty was also scheduled to speak. Mr. Shove also announced another upcoming meeting of Independent and Locally-Owned Businesses entitled, MIBA (Metro Independent Business Alliance) scheduled for Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at John B. Davis Auditorium, Campus Center at Macalester College on 1600 Grand Avenue in St. Paul, with Jeff Milchen, Outreach Director for AMIBA (American Independent Business Alliance) scheduled to speak. Mr. Shove invited all to attend and provided informational brochures on each program. C. John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street Mr. Kysylyczyn addressed previous comments related to the amount of time provided at each meeting for public comment; and provided his interpretation of the validity of statements that the City Council was not getting business completed due to excessive citizen comment.
