Department Approval: <br />� {. <br />� — <br />--���� � - - <br />Item Description: <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Manager Reviewed: <br />� <br />�� �� �� <br />DATE: 4111105 <br />ITEM NO. : 4. n <br />Agenda Section: <br />Receive Feasibility Reportl Schedule Public Improvement Hearing for <br />2005 Pavement Management Program (PMP) <br />Background: On October 25,2004, the City Council selected neighborhoods for the 2005 <br />PNIl' and ordered the preparation of a feasibility report for these neighborhoods. The <br />neighborhoods selected are as follows: <br />Neighborhood 32: Chatsworth Street-Lovel l Avenue to Grandview Avenue <br />�,oveli Avenue- Cul-de-sac to Chatsworth Street <br />We have met with the maj ority of the property owners at this time, and have discussed with <br />them the City's assessment policy, and an overview of typical street reconstruction. <br />In accordance with City Council direction, a feasibility report has been prepared that details <br />the proposed design, neighborhood impact, and estimated cost of the proposed 2005 PMP. <br />Copies of the completed feasibility reports are enclosed. The ne�t step in the process is for <br />the council to accept the feasibility report and to schedule public hearings. <br />Policy objectives: The project is consistent with the policies originally established for the PMP <br />summarized as follows: <br />Roads will be reconstructed based upon pavement condition and reconstruction will be <br />done by neighborhoods. <br />2. Petitions for street improvements will be considered along with projects evaluated based <br />on pavement evaluation score. <br />4. Proj ect costs will be assessed consistent with city assessment policy. <br />5. Public hearings will be held consistent with state statute. <br />Financial implications: These proj ects have maj or financial implications for the city including <br />the following: <br />
