Several applicants <br />applied for two or more Commissions. The Council interviewed all applicants. Chairs or their <br />designee participated in interviews for all but the Police Civil Service Commission. <br />Council Members and the chair/designees ranked their top choices for the Commissions. Staff <br />assigned points (10 points for first choice, 9 for second choice and so on) based on those <br />rankings The ranking sheet is attached. <br />Human Ri��ts Commission - Three vacancies, two for full terms that expire March 31, 2008 and <br />one partial term that expires March 31, 2007. <br />Parks and Recreation Coinmission � Three vacancies, two for full terms that expire March 31, <br />2008 and one partial term that expires March 31, 2007. <br />Flar�ning Commission — One ��u�l term that expires March 31,2008 <br />Police Civil Service Commission — One partial term that expires March 31, 2007. <br />Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission - Two vacancies, one full term that <br />expires March 31,2008 and one partial term that expires March 31,2007. <br />Council Action Requested: <br />Appoint member� to the Commission using the attached matrix to assist with your decision <br />making. <br />The Human Rights Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission and the Public Works, <br />Environment and Transportation Commission have full and partial tenns, so staff recominends <br />that using the scoring matrix that the candidate with the lowest points among the top choices <br />would be appointed to the partial term. <br />
