REQUEST FOR COUNCILACTION <br />DATE: 4111105 <br />ITEM NO: 4.g <br />Department Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />. �-� �onser�t <br />��,�'�:�. � ,� _�.�� <br />Item Description: Arbor Day Proclamation <br />BACKGROUND <br />As a part of our Tree City USA membership, each year the City of Roseville proclaims a <br />specific day as Arbor Day in order to recognize the importance of trees and to promote <br />their prf.�p�r care and the planfing of manyadditional appropriate tree species to replace <br />the thousands that have been lost over the years. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />This is consistent with the policy adopted many years ago of annually proclaiming Arbor <br />Day. <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATION <br />None <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that April 29, 2005 be named Roseville Arbor Day. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion adopting the proclamation. <br />
