The frost may have gradually been removed once the sub-floar heating <br />system was operating under the new ice rink floar. <br />The existing sub-floar heating system appears to be functioning properly. However, it is reported <br />t�at ih� sub-floar heating grid varies in elevation by as much as eight inches in some areas. <br />Typically the piping grid is installed flat beneath the rink floar to equally distribute heat beneath <br />the rink floar. The eig��t inch variation in elevation may make the system less effective. If frost <br />is encountered, the frost must be removed priar to reconstructing the rink floar. Most rink floar <br />replacement projects require some replacement ofthe perimeter concrete. This cost is not <br />included 'm the cost estimates presented in this report. <br />While the refrigeration contractar is on-site to replace the rink floar you may want to consider <br />including sotne maintenance to I'•i� existing refrigeration equipment like a top en� on each <br />compressor, oil changes, etc. if this has not been completcd recently, It would be prudent to also <br />perform some preliminary inspections on the low pressure receiver at this time.
