Resolution <br />Board of <br />Ramsey County Commissione�s <br />Presented By �r.}mQnis�ioner l�c�a�ucxh Date April 26. 2005 No. 2005- 169 <br />Attention: Connie Catlin, County Manager's Office <br />Scott Williams, County Manager�s OffiGe ����� Of5 <br />Paul Kirkwold, Project Manager <br />Bob Fletcher, Sheriff Budqetinct & <br />WHEREAS, On June 22,2004, the Ramsey County Board of commissioners <br />authorized the County Manager to proceed with the design and construction of the <br />County subsystem backbone of a countywide Public Safety Communication System <br />(PSI'S)180Q MHz Interoperable Communication system as a subsystem to the <br />Metropolitan Radio board's publicsafety communication system; and <br />WHEREAS, On June 22,2004, the Ramsey County Board authorized the County <br />Manager to develop a preliminary design of a Ramsey County PSCSl8�4 MHz <br />PSAPJDispatch Center that would be sized to allow for potential future countywide <br />dispatching for consideration by the County Board and the Policy Planning Committee; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, On June 22,2004, the Ramsey County Board authorized the County <br />Managerto begin negotiations with the City of Saint Paul for a combined P5CS/80C} <br />MHz Dispatch Center, and with the Cities of Maplewood and White Bear Lake to locate <br />their independent PSAP/Dispatch Centers within the countywide dispatch center, and to <br />negotiate with all communitieswithin Ramsey County, and to update the County Board <br />and Policy Planning Committee on progress and recommendations; and <br />WHEREAS.
