City Council Regular Meeting — 07/11/OS
DRAFT Minutes - Page 19
Schroeder moved, Kough seconded, adoption of Resolution No.
10321 entitled, "Resolution Approving Mayor's Appointment of
Councilmember Dean Maschka to the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Roseville to fill
an Unexpired Vacancy."
Upon Acting Mayor Maschka's preparation to abstain from
voting on the matter, City Attorney Anderson clarified that there
would be no conflict of interest or no reason for Councilmember
Maschka to abstain.
Roll Call
Ayes: Schroeder; Ihlan; Kough and Maschka.
Nays: None.
9. Consider a Process for Selecting a new North Suburban
Cable Commission Boardmember Representing Roseville
Councilmember Ihlan advised that, while having considered the
appointment, she was not prepared to pursue appointment to the
Cable Commission. Councilmember Ihlan noted that
Councilmember Kough had expressed interest in the position.
Councilmember Kough confirmed his interest in serving on the
North Suburban Cable Commission as Roseville's
representative.
Councilmember Schroeder reviewed the rationale for his
resignation from the Commission, opining that the Directors had
no power; and that Comcast had the resources to pursue their
interests, and tied the hands of the Commission. Councilmember
Schroeder indicated that he therefore, couldn't do justice to the
position and serve the best interests of the citizens of Roseville.
Maschka moved, Ihlan seconded, appointment of
Councilmember Kough to serve as the City of Roseville's
representative to the North Suburban Cable Commission (NSCC)
until the end of his Council term.
Roll Call
Ayes: Schroeder; Ihlan; Kough and Maschka.
Nays: None.
Maschka to the
IRA
Appointment of
NSCC Board
Member
