� p�r��R�r�� <br />N�tP� Ten-Year Accreditation <br />Congratulations Roseville! <br />Hats off to Roseville Parks and Recreation! <br />I n October 2004, the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA), recognized <br />Roseville Parks and Recreation as one of only eight communities in the country to achieve <br />the status of 'Ten Year Accreditation." The Commission for Accreditation of Parks and <br />Recreation Agencies also recognized Rosevil[e'� extensive parks and recreation system, <br />wide-ranging recreation and leisure opportunities, broad community resources and <br />amenities, and far-reaching community involvement with 100% compliance evaluation <br />standards and criteria, an unmatched accomplishment. <br />The Ten Year NRAPA Accreditation process was significantly marked in a number of ways <br />and by many outstanding events; <br />o An effective and enthusiastic staff produced and demonstrated thorough <br />documentation of department operations. These efforts resulted in Roseville being <br />recognized as achieving 100% of the Accreditation standards. <br />o City-wide teamwork and collaboration verified the effectiveness and efficiency of <br />management and operational systems. <br />o Community involvement and backing overwhelmed and impressed the visiting team. <br />High level of praise and support, from all corners of the community, demonstrated <br />the significance of parks and recreation programs, facilities and opportunities in <br />Roseville, articulated parks and recreation as an essential community service and <br />established the values provided by Roseville Parks and Recreation. <br />Evaluation and Assessments <br />Parks and Recreation utilizes and extensive system of evaluation and assessment tools <br />to gauge service levels and community expectations. Evaluation and assessment <br />systems help; <br />o staff think fresh and encourages change and/are enhancements <br />o reinforce the "Best of Roseville" adage <br />o support a base of energy. <br />Staff actively initiates sources of feedback by utilizing a range of inethods; <br />o Program and event follow-up survey for participants and/or parent/guardiar� <br />o Facility satisfaction surveys <br />a Personalized, direct communication with volunteers, participants and guests <br />o Neighborhood meetings <br />o Documentation for the CAPRA Accreditation process <br />o Develop goals and action plans based on feedback provided <br />1� <br />
