Re�ortfrom Recreation �ro�r�r�s Supervisor, Eric �o�ttcher <br />Adult Sports Programs <br />Roseville Parks and Recreation offers a variety of athletic activities for our adult community <br />to actively take part in throughout the year. From softball in the summer to soccer in the <br />fall to broomball in the winter ... there's something for everyone to enjoy. <br />o Basketball <br />The adult basketball program enjoyed another season of being filled to its limit. This <br />league offers fun competition of weekly games and a chance to win the league <br />championship and play in the year-end league tournament. Leagues offer three levels <br />of inen's divisional play. <br />o Broom6al%Boot� Hockey <br />Winter in Minnesota is the time for broomball and boot hockey leagues. Three rink <br />locations offer men and women the chance to compete together. Even with the warm <br />weather in February, our tremendous parks crew was able to keep a great sheet of ice <br />on all rinks. The hard work provided teams an enjoyable season free of interruption. <br />Leagues are offered for mixed and men's teams. <br />o Football <br />With league offerings for teams of 7 and 4 players the football program allows teams to <br />compete in this short but fun season. The league is held in fall at Rosebrook field. <br />o SOCC2r <br />The adult soccer program filled quickly this season giving two divisions of 8 teams the <br />competition at night under the lights at Rosebrook Fields. <br />o Softball <br />It was very successful year for adult softball. The adult softball program started off the <br />summer season with an increase in team registrations. Since it is thought that softball <br />is declining throughout the metro area this was great for our department to witness. I n <br />fall the program continued its success by filling up all four leagues. The softball <br />program offered during the evening offers league for men, women and mixed leagues. <br />o Indoor I/olleyball <br />The adult volleyball program grew in numbers for both fall and winter seasons.
