Letter 'r Director
Dear Roseville Citizens;
I t is my pleasure to serve you as Director of Roseville Parks & Recreation and 1 look
forward to working with you in the future.
1 am pleased to share with you this detailed 2004 annual report outlining the year's
activities and accomplishments. As you review this report you will be able to assess just
how much happened throughout the parks and recreation system in 2004 due largely to
the commitment and strength of staff and community.
This report divides Roseville Parks and Recreation into seven categories: Parks and
Recreation Citizen Advisory Commission, general operations, Cedarholm Golf Course,
Harriet Alexander Nature Center, park maintenance/improements/forestry/hoiculture,
recreation programs (fee and non-fee) and the skating center and summarizes the events,
programs and operations that occurred throughout 2004.
Many thanks go out to the Roseville community for your continued interest and support of
the system. Without the efforts of countless local committees, active affiliated groups, city-
wide collaborations and a dedicated and committed parks and recreation staff we would not
be able to sustain our commitment to ongoing maintenance and landscaping, providing
recreation programs, preserving community facilities, and presenting special events.
Thanks to you, all is well with Roseville Parks & Recreation. We pledge to you that we will
continue to strive for efficiency, effectiveness and excellence. You are truly what make
Roseville a special standout community!
My door is always open; I invite you in for a visit to hear your comments, concerns, ideas
and suggestions for continued improvements in the Roseville Parks 8c Recreation System.
Sincerely,
Lonnie Brokke, CPRP
.
