City of Roseville <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />TITLE 3 , SECTION � <br />Massa�e Therapv Establishments <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br />SECTION L Title 3, Section 309 of the Roseville City Code is amended to read as follows: <br />� <br />�' �� ��� iv� ��� <br />_ .. .._...."___,..___" ' "' _'_"__"' '... ........ _ . .. <br />11�1���;���E T�H�1��1�4' ���'�►I���.�.�t{f4�iF���f�l�� <br />SECTION: <br />309.01: <br />309.02: <br />309.03: <br />309.04: <br />309.05: <br />309.06: <br />309.07: <br />Definitions <br />License for Massage Therapy Establishment <br />Granting, Denying or Rescinding of Licenses <br />Practice of Massage Therapy Only by Licenses Persons <br />Revocation or Suspension of License <br />Restrictions and Regulations <br />Violations, Penalty <br />309.01: DEFINITIONS: <br />As used in this Chapter, the following words and terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them <br />in this Section: <br />CHAIR MASSAGE: A massa�e �rovided to a fullv-clothed individual, and limited to the neck, <br />shoulders, arms, and back. where the massa,�e is not �rovided in a massa e�; thera�y <br />establishment: and provided the individual ig ving the massage meets the requirements specified <br />in Section 309.04 (A). <br />MASSAGE THERAPIST: A person who practices massage therapy. <br />MASSAGE THERAPY: The rubbing, stroking, kneading, tapping or rolling of the body with the <br />hands or other parts of the body for the exclusive purposes of relaxation, physical fitness or <br />beautification and for no other purpose. The practice of massage therapy is hereby declared to <br />be distinct from the licensed practice of inedicine, osteopathy, chiropractic, physical therapy, <br />podiatry and nursing, as well as athletic coaches and trainers. Persons engaged in those <br />professions are exempt from the provisions of this Chapter. <br />MASSAGE THERAPY ESTABLISHMENT: Any room, or premise �r r�,,xr�� wherein a person <br />may receive a massage from a massage therapist for a fee; where massa�es are �iven on more <br />than 14 calendar days in anv given calendar year. <br />SANITARY: Free from the vegetative cells of pathogenic microorganisms. (Ord. ll 42, 6-13� <br />1994). <br />
