Although the state of Minnesota has accepted alternative rraerials to be used in a
landfill, the state of Minnesota has been consistent in stating that altemative daily cover is not
considered recycling.
We hope this clears up any confusion about what the state of Minnesota considers recycling. If
you have any questions, please call Wayne Gjerde at (651) 215-0270.
Si: •lk•,

Cathy Berg Moeger
Director
Technical, Education and Assistance Division
['J- f :1±7 I ,nl
cc: pksFRii-rrd,rre " _ .
ris. ' a[ i T.i ;:r_-?n k k a, {' i 4' «I ]ov _1 Le fr I i❑; C'««rLGna tr
Julie Ketchum, Waste Management
Steve Batchelor, Waste Management
520 Lafayette Rd.
