Date: 09/12/2005 <br />Department Approval: <br />��� � �� <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Manager Reviewed: <br />_� � � <br />� <br />i.. ��'�. . �_`��.�_ <br />Concordia Academy Qi�e Day Gambling <br />BACKGROUND <br />Item Number: 3.d <br />Agenda Section: <br />Consent <br />Concordia Academy has applied for an Exemption from Lawful Gambling Licensing <br />Requirements to conduct lawful gambling activities on November 5 at Midland Hills Country <br />Club located at 2001 �ulha�n Street. <br />The Minnesota Charitable Gambling Regulations allow any nonprofit organization, which <br />conducts lawful gambling for less than five (5) days per year, and total prizes do not exceed <br />$50,000.00 in value, to be exempt from the licensing requirements if the city approves. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion approving Concordia Academy request to conduct a raffle on November 5, at Midland <br />Hills Country Club located at 2001 Fulham Street. <br />
