CONTRACT TO PROVIDE PROSECUTING ATTORNEY SERVICES

<br />1. The Fiin7 agrees to act as legal advisor and prosecuti��g aftorz�ey for all �nti��ici��al
<br />c�7i7�ii�a1 matters (incliir�i�lg civil motor vehicle �arfeit���-e cases) arising wzt�lzl� ',;;�,- City, o�- for
<br />1�r1�icI1 ill� City :;:,� jurisdiction.
<br />� The above legal ser�vices shall include the following:
<br />a. Preparing gross i3zisdei��eanor azxd misdemeanor fo����a� complai��ts to
<br />establish probable cause and defne charges;
<br />�, k'z-e� az-e a7�d appear at ,�.� ���� i�; �. i i: ��� .. �, pretrial 1�e�7�i��gs, probation revocation
<br />hearings, ox�Z��i�zis hearings, r�sn�ttssen bearings, �Io��el�ce hearings, court
<br />trials, j��z-y trials, bail �aaoCio��s, i��-custoc�y an-aig���ze��ts, �x�t��ge���ent
<br />hearings, i��otinn hearings, ..:::: senEellciilgs;
<br />c. Obtain certified docun-�eilts required for crimiilal prosecutioi�, including
<br />subpoenas, di-ive�-s' records, motor vehicle records, prior convictions, orders
<br />for protection, baz�l� records, police reports, t�ar�scripts froin prior hearings,
<br />plea petitions froi�� prior hearings, and other iz��'oi���atiorz �17at l���y be ��e�uired
<br />for �rosecution;
<br />d. Comply witl� all discovery requests fron7 defendants, including gathering
<br />reeor-ds with regard to iiltoxilyzers, crin���1a1 records of witnesses, taped
<br />i�3i�-a��da tivan�iz�gs, copy of 911 calls, copy of videotaped evidence, ai�d the
<br />1�ke. Notices of heal-iiigs, trial dates, including change of hearing dates;
<br />e. Maiz�taii7 conun2i��icatio�z with involved a�encies ir�cludiz�g law enforcel��ent
<br />agencies, courts, Miiuiesota car�eciio�7al faciliiies, victinllwit�lesses,
<br />defenda��ts/de%nse atto�-�7eys, social worltez-s, child protection l�erso���ei,
<br />psychiatrists, victii�l advocate representatives, hospitals, ba��<s, i2�sur�lce
<br />coinpli�ies, probation officers, Bureau of C�i�zzii7al Ap�rel�e��sion, Family
<br />Violence Net�,vorlc �ersoiu�el;
<br />f. Tr��ning and legal update �r police officers a�ad p�zso���e1, provide written
<br />materials i��cl�.idirz� preparing alad providing boolclets and other handouts;
<br />g. Prepare reports of prosecution activities as requested by City Council;
<br />h. Attend all special meeti��gs or training sessions as requested by the police
<br />c�el�artza�cz�t, Code enforcement �ers�i�zel, or oilier City sta��`; and
