The Ramsey Center far Arts, Wildlife Rehabilitation <br />Center, Harriet Alexander Nature Center 1ldviso�y Board and di� Central Pazli Foundation provided <br />ir�uch needed support, resources and event inai�agemei�t expertise. <br />�'ORI Ir1NG 1����z�.l�ea:s and advisoi-�T board meinbeis researched recipes, fulfilled 1zealtli department <br />iequitemei�ts, coardinated �Iie catering services and prepared and served gourmet wild rice dishes. Rainsey <br />Center far Arts and Wildlife Rehabilitation Center personnel lent their expertise in recruiting volui�teers, <br />soliciting donations and negotiating services. Central Park Foundation provided access to their vast <br />ir�e�n�ers�ip to aid in promotional efforts. <br />3,000 carnznuzi�.ty guests visited the HANC tluougl�out t��e day to learn, enjoy and experience wild rice <br />t1ae��ed activities,performances and foods. 150 people enjoyed a breakfastfeaturing wild rice pancakes, <br />wild rice sausages, juice and coffee. Staff and volunteers sezved 200 faiivly style dinners, a homemade <br />meal of wild rice soup, wild [;t rt casserole, wild rice bread, wild rice salad and a wild rice spice cake. <br />Festival musicians, dancers, storytel�eis, artists and activity leaders introduced our coin�n�nity to cultural <br />exp��-iezlces native to our region. Children ax�r� adults played together, learned together and expanded their <br />��orizo�is together. Event presenters brought basketty, candle �na�i.ng and hoi2ey extraction <br />demonstrations to the Nature Center eommunity. Native A1nei7can daneers, storytellers, inusicians, <br />activity leaders and artists involved the coi���unity in long standing cultural traditions. <br />The l�i%d .�ice Fesizval �ew into a sueeessful coin�r�vr�ity event beeause of its it�terc3iscipli�zaiy nature <br />co��zbiiung arts, nature and eulture based events and foods �eaclvng deep i��to the eommunity to draw a <br />wide range of visitars, peifoi7net5 and volunteers. <br />
