80 officers set to aid New Orleans <br />Posted on Wed, 5ep. 14, 2005 <br />80 officers set to aid New Orleans <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />About 80 law enforcement officers from Minnesota wiii ieave today for a two-week tour of duty in New Orleans as that city <br />copes with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. <br />About half of the force will come from the cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis, with the remainder from Bloomington, Ramsey <br />County, Maplewood and Roseville. <br />The Minnesota contingent wiil be led by Minneapolis Police Lt. Otto Wagenpfeil, who is a New Orleans native <br />St. Paul Mayor Randy Kelly and Police Chief John Harrington will attend a deployment ceremony at 7:45 a.m. today. A similar <br />ceremony at 9 a.m. in Minneapolis will be attended by Minneapolis Mayor R.T.
