Petition to the City of Roseville from Fisk Street Residents (and other concerned neighbors) The undersigned Roseville residents request the city of Roseville to take action to permanently and significantly improve the street sight lines on the south side of County Rd. C, from Victoria Street to Fisk Sreet. The Danger: Brush, tall grass, and scrub trees on the south side of County Rd. C between Victoria Street and Fisk Street, impairs the sight lines and dangerously limits the amount of time a driver has to make a safe driving decision, when attempting to make a left hand turn, across two lanes of traffic, onto County Rd. C from Fisk Street. Additional Details About the Danger: Cars heading east on County Rd. C, past Victoria Street, are traveling 40 mph and often faster as they approach Fisk Street, the first small side street on the south side, about 118 mile distance from Victoria Street. There is a bend in the road from Victoria Street to Fisk Street. This bend in the road combined with brush, tall grass, and scrub trees on the south side of County Rd. C dangerously limits the amount of time a driver has to make a safe decision, when attempting to make a left hand turn, across two lanes of traffic, onto County Rd. C from Fisk Street. To experience the danger, we ask Roseville City Council members or city employees involved with street safety, to sit in their �� t Fisk Sti��et, for a few minutes, from 7-9 AM, or from 4-6 PM. Requested Action: Improving the sight lines by cutting down brush, tall grass, and scrub trees on the south side of County Rd. C, from Victoria to Fisk Street, will give drivers entering County Rd. C from Fisk St, an additional one or two seconds to see approaching cars, and allow drivers to make a better, safer decision about entering traffic on Country Rd. C. Note: Cutting down brush, tall grass, and scrub trees on the south side of County Rd. C, from Victoria to Fisk Street will have to be done on a yearly basis or the problem will reoccur. We ask the City of Roseville to find a way to permanently change the landscape on the south side of County Rd. C from Victoria to Fisk Street so the sight lines will not be dangerously impaired.
