Mr. Stark opined that homes that dense would create <br />fire safety issues due to their proximity to each other; expressed <br />safety concerns related to creation of a cul-de-sac; drainage <br />concerns onto Parker Avenue that would increase drainage issues <br />on his lot; and spoke in support of the addition of four new <br />homes rather than the proposed ten. Mr. Stark also opined that <br />the project, as proposed, would greatly impact the neighborhood <br />and its character. <br />Jim Saxrude,1033 West Sh�ye� <br />Mr. Sax�rude noted that he had tried to remain open-minded <br />related to the project; questioned the City's notification of <br />tonight's meeting and discussion related to this project; the <br />previously-spoken objections of the neighborhood at the <br />Planning Commission Hearings; and the majority opinion of the <br />neighborhood that this project was opposed. <br />Mr. Saxrude opined the neighborhood's support for four homes <br />with large back yards as well as concerns regarding property <br />value impacts; privacy considerations; and the natural wooded <br />area amenities. <br />Mayor Klausing questioned the Council's ability to dictate that <br />one private property owner maintain green space for another <br />property owner's benefit. Mayor Klausing was sympathetic to <br />neighborhood concerns, but noted the Council's obligation under <br />the law and ability to regulate property owners' use of property. <br />Wilbe�t Pantsa�i, 1QOa Pa�ke� Avenue <br />Mr. Pantsari spoke in opposition to the proposed project; opining <br />his desire to keep the natural privacy and lot size of the <br />neighborhood intact; in addition to avoiding additional traffic <br />concerns on Parker Avenue. <br />Kevin Vesledahl, 960 Pa�ke� Avenue <br />Mr. Vesledahl spoke in support of the project; opining that the <br />applicant had been open and fair to residents in providing <br />information and an open forum for discussion. Mr. Vesledahle <br />further opined that the development would provide additional tax <br />monies in the community once the property was developed; and <br />
