Section 4. Housing Action Steps/Implemen�hafiion Strategies <br />The following action steps are implementation strategies to help achieve the goals <br />identified above. The action steps are annually refined as part of the <br />comprehensive planning process and Housing Plan review. N ot all action steps will <br />be implemented in the current year, rather they will be implemented based upon <br />prioritization in alignment with annual budget resources. Many of the action steps <br />are noted as a high priority for the HRA. <br />4.1 Create an educational environment that promotes quality housing <br />renovation and housing assistance through the Home & Garden Show, <br />HousingResource Center technical assistance and target marketing. <br />• Fund an annual Horrle & Garden �`air�featuring housing contractors, remodeling <br />vendors, landscape companies and finance agencies. The Fair includes seminars, <br />children's activities and door prizes and is held the first Saturday in February or <br />last Saturday in January. Identified as a high priority of the HRA. <br />• AssisttheHausinqResourceCenterNorthMetrowhichprovidestechnical <br />construction management and financial advice through an annual fee paid by the <br />HRA. The services of HousingResource Center are provided free to residents. <br />Services include assistance on building evaluations, city code and permit process, <br />scope of work, construction cost information, construction bid process, evaluation <br />of submitted bids, monitor construction process and purchase counseling. <br />Identified as a high priority of the HRA. <br />R Produce a remodelers handbookthat provides a summary of projects highlighted <br />over the years through the Rambler Redesign Program. <br />• S�`renA�`herr the c����:� �{�t�or�s��� with local banks, realtors, school d i stri ct and <br />non-profit service providers to effectively inform the community about the <br />benefits of housing rehabilitation and reinvestment programs and partnerships. <br />Identified as a high priority for the HRA. <br />• Continue to distribute a hfvusirrqNewslei��`er�o all Roseville residents and market <br />HRA housing programs and provide target mailings to neighborhoods that may be <br />experiencing signs of blight.
