Roseville should identify existing transit service (available on the Council's websi��;� and desired <br />fi�ture transit service options consistent with the Transportation Poliey Plan's �ra�i# system <br />service areas (Table 4-1 and AppendiY 1V�. <br />Roseville should list transit corridors (express commuter bus corridors and dedicated right-of- <br />way corridors) � identify opportunities to promote higher density initiatives along dedicated <br />transit corridors (see Figure 4-2). <br />Roseville should identify existing transit passenger and support facilities and future <br />improvements to and expansion of these facilities. Passenger and support facilities include <br />shelters, transit centers, stations, and park-and-ride lots. The city of Roseville has existing park- <br />and-ride lots located at �2.vsedale Shopping Center and Roseville City Hall. An upgrade of the <br />Rosesdale Transit Center is programmed <br />3, Aviation P�an and Facilities <br />The �`�'�'/APF includes policies and text on protection of the region's airspace resources. The <br />airspace policy states that both Federal Aviation administration (FAA) and Mr�D(�'�` Aeronautics <br />safety standards must be a maj or consideration in the planning, design, maintenance and <br />operation of air transportationfacilities and services. There are no existing or p�anned aviation <br />facilities within Roseville. However, each community has a responsibility to include airspace <br />protection in its comprehensive plan. The protection is for potential hazards to air navigation <br />w including electronic interference. Airspace protection shoa��d be included in local <br />cpd�slQrc�inances to control height of structures, ����t$lE�r when conditional use permits would <br />apply. The comprehensiveplan should includepalicyl�ext on notification to the FAA as <br />defined under code of federal regulations CFR - Part 77, using the FAA Form 7460-1 "Notice of <br />Proposed Construction or Alteration". For purposes of safe use of surface waters and compatible land use, communities should <br />recognize that certain public waters within the seven��ow�ttY metro area are designated by <br />MnjDOT Aeronautics as permitted seaplane use areas under state Rules.
