REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 11/28/2005 <br />Item No: 3.e <br />Department Approval: Manager Approved: Agenda Section: <br />� �� �' � <br />--� L�;-��t <br />Item Description: Establishing the 2006 Fee <br />'? `�� � � consent <br />r�.-�� +�s,� <br />Background <br />At the November 21,2005 City Council Study Session, the Council received a presentation from <br />Staff which included a brief discussion on the recommended fee increases for 2006. <br />At the conclusion of the presentation, the Council directed Staff to bring forth the recommended <br />fee increases at a future available Council meeting for formal adoption. <br />Recommended 2006 Fee Increases <br />Based upon Staffs review of the direct and indirect costs of the City's regulatory functions, Staff <br />recommends the following fee adjustments: <br />2006 Recommended Fee Adjustments <br />3.2% Off-sale liquor license (a) 30.00 200.00 <br />Massa e thera ist 75.00 100.00 <br />Utilit service location fee 100.00 <br />Encroachment a reement fee 250.00 <br />Right-of-wayleasement vacation fee 250.00 <br />Erosion control ins ection ermit b - Varies — see below <br />Public improvement contract (c) - $ 500.00 plus 1-2% <br />Building �ermitlPlan review fees (c) See appendiY A See appendix A <br />Notes: <br />a) 3.2% off-sale liquor license holders include grocery and convenience stores <br />b) Permit fees as follows: <br />1) Less than 1 acre �$180 <br />2) 1 to 5 acres =$480 <br />3) More than 5 acres =$720 <br />c) See narrative below <br />An overview for each proposed fee adjustment is presented below. <br />
