<br />GENERAL
<br />401.1 Scope. The provisions of this chapter shall govem the

<br />402.1 Habitai�f€e spaees. Every habitable space shall have at
<br />least one window of approved size facing directly to the out-
<br />doars ar to a cau��t, '1`he minimum total glazed area far every
<br />habitable space shall be$ percent of the ilvor area of such

<br />natural ar arrificial ]ight sufficient toperrnit the m�intenance of
<br />sanitary conditions, and the safe occupancy of the space and
<br />utilization of the appliances, ec�uipmeat and �xt��es.

<br />403.1 Habitable spaces. Every habitable space shall have at

<br />Exception: Where rooms and spaces without openings to
