Department Approval <br />�� ,�: �� <br />Item Description: <br />l�'�, <br />Jy <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 09-14-09 <br />Item No.: 7.m <br />City Manager Approval <br />� / <br />Set a Public Hearing to Consider an Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for <br />Network Liquors LLC. <br />Background <br />Network Liquors currently holds an existing off-sale intoxication liquor license at 2727 Lexington Avenue. <br />A new ownership group has agreed in principle to acquire the business subject to City Council approval of <br />the license. Under City Code, the City Council must approve any changes in ownership or management of <br />the business. <br />The City Attorney will review the application prior to the issuance of the license to ensure that it is in order. <br />A representative from Network Liquors LLC will attend the hearing to answer any questions the Council <br />may have. <br />Financial Implications <br />The revenue that is generated from the license fees collected is used to offset the cost of police compliance <br />checks, background investigations, enforcement of liquor laws, and license administration. <br />Council Action <br />Motion to set a public hearing to consider an Off Sale Intoxicating liquor license, for Network Liquors, <br />LLC to be held on September 28, 2009. <br />Prepared by: Chris Miller, Finance Director <br />Attachments: A: Applications <br />ZU <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
