Call Roli <br />Acting Mayor Rae called to order the Roseville City Council regular meeting at ap- <br />proximately 6;00 p.m, and welcomed e`veryone. <br />(Voting and Seating Order for June: Johnson; Pust; 7hlan; Koe and Klausing) <br />Acting City Manager Chris 1Vliller advised that City Iv�anager Malinen had been called <br />away unexpectedly this afte�noon and �v�s unsure if he would be able ta return for to- <br />night's rneeting, <br />Acting Mayor Rae noted that Mayor Klausing was exc�sed; having previausly noted his <br />unavailability to attend tonight's meeting. <br />City Attorney Scott Andersan was also present. <br />Closed Exec�tiv� Session — Discuss A.cquisition of portions of property Iocated at 2690 <br />Cle�veland Avenue anc� 1947 Cauniy Road C for road right-of-wa� pt�rposes <br />City Attorney Scott Anderson re�viewed the purpase of the Closed Executive Session related to <br />the attorney/client privileged and confidential �ppraisal informafion in accardance with Minne- <br />sota Statute, Section 13D.01; and Minnesota Statute 13D.0�, subd. 3.c respectively, City Attor- <br />ney Anderson noted that the meeting would be tape recarded with the tape held by the Ciiy At- <br />torney untit deemed appropriate, if applieable, for public dissemination. <br />.�ohnson moved, Pust seconded, recessing the meeting inta Closed ��ecutive Session, at 6:08 <br />p,m., in accordance with Minnesota Statuie, Section f 3D.01, for the Cit� Council, staff, and legal <br />caunsel to c�iscuss attarney/client privileged information and confide�itial information related to a <br />discussion regarding offers for the purchase of portions of 2690 C1e�veland Avenue, �nd 1947 <br />County Road C from Raseville Acquisitions �,L� and to include �innes�ta Statute, Section <br />13D,05, subd. 3.c for closure to discuss real property fhat may be subject to an c�ffer or counter- <br />offer to purchase. <br />Councilmember Ihlan advised that she rvould be voting against the motion; since Open Meeting <br />Law did nat require closur�, and since this �vas an important public issue, she opined that there <br />was no need for secrec� at this point. <br />Acting Mayar Roe noted it was t.he option of the City Council whefk�er ta close tl�e meeting for <br />this discussion; however, he opined that it was in the Cit�'s best interests in discussing offers a�d <br />potential counter-offers ta do so in clased session. Acting Mayor Roe advised thafi any potential <br />
