<br /> <br /> <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Ethics Commission <br />August 12, 2009 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Annual Training Session: <br />The date of the annual training will be either Wednesday Nov. 18, or Thursday, <br />November 19 – staff to decide. The speaker wi ll be Paul Ratwik from the City Attorney <br />office. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed possibl e concepts for the training, including the Materials, <br />possible small group discussions, utilizing audience response units and incorporating <br />analysis. <br /> <br />Other Business: <br />Horsager inquired as to why the Ethics trai ning was not mandatory, and it was explained <br />that we currently have good pa rticipation; attendance enforc ement would be difficult, and <br />it would set an ominous tone. <br /> <br />Selection of Chair and Vice-Chair: <br />Horsager moved, Schmidt seconded, Melissa Weldon as 2010 Chair. Weldon abstained. <br />Ayes: All. <br /> <br />Weldon moved, Pederson seconded, Pa trick Schmidt as 2010 Vice Chair <br />Ayes: All. <br /> <br />Next Meeting: <br />The next meeting will be on November 4. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 7:07 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br />William J.
