EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 19th day of October, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Roe, Johnson, Pust and Klausing <br />and the following were absent: Ihlan <br />Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION No. 10757 <br />Resolution Relating to the Administration and Implementation of a Traffic Safety Grant by the <br />Roseville Police Department <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety has continued to promote efforts to reduce <br />traffic accidents through the funding of City enforcement efforts, specifically Safe and Sober <br />Programs; and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety has established local traffic safety projects for <br />the Federal Fiscal Year of 2009 to 2010 to achieve the above stated purpose, promoting law <br />enforcement and traffic safety; and <br />WHEREAS, as a part of a larger grant to the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office, the Roseville Police <br />department is eligible to receive up to $52,170 in reimbursement for participation beginning <br />October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010 to offset increased personnel overtime cost for <br />traffic enforcement; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office and the Roseville <br />Police Department enter into a grant agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public <br />Safety, Office of Traffic Study for the project entitled SAFE & SOBER during the period <br />from October 2009 through September 2010. The SHERIFF of RAMSEY COUNTY is <br />hereby authorized to execute such agreements and amendments as are necessary to <br />implement the project on behalf of the ROSEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT and to be the <br />fiscal agent and administer the grant. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Klausing, and upon <br />a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Roe, Johnson, Pust and Klausing <br />and the following voted against the same: none <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
