<br />in the Cities of Arden �ills, �`aleon Heights, Lauderrdale, Little Canada, Mounds View,
<br />New Brigh�on, North Oaks, Roseville, St. Anthany and �horeview, MN;
<br />WHEREAS, PEG channels are a uniq�e and valuable resource for local infarrnation anc�
<br />discourse for the residents of At•de� Hills, Falcan Heights, Lauderdale, Little Canada,
<br />Mounds View, New Brigh�on, North Daks, Roseville, St. Anthony an� Shoreview, MN;
<br />and
<br />WHEREAS, PEG channels televise local government meetings, ineludang city council,
<br />planning comrt�issio�, courny board and sc�ool boaxd tneetings, so tl��t citizens are
<br />infonned abo�t the actzons taken by lncal elected of�cials; an�
<br />WT�EREAS, PEG channels cor�tribute �o the dernocra�ie process �y providing
<br />oppartt�r�ities �or candidates and others, suc� as the Lea�ue of Women Voters, ta diseuss
<br />Iocal issues d�zring election campaig�s; and
<br />WHEREA�, �EG c�annels provid� a window t�irougi� which residents can view the
<br />di�ve;rsity of cul�ures, recreational activities and artistie endeavors in their local
<br />community; and
<br />W��EREAS, PEG char�nels reflect t�e �niq�e identity of the ca�n�nunities fihey serve; and
<br />WHER�AS, it is i�nporfan� �o preserve PEG channels and fut�di�g �For PEG et�annels, and
<br />ta ens�rr� t�at the cl�annels continue to be available ta the en�ire co�n�nunity ta serrve t�e
<br />resicien�s of Arden Hills, Faicon Heights, Lauderdale, Little Canada, Mounds View, New
<br />Brighton, Nor�h Oaks, Roseville, St. Anthony and S�orevi�w, MN; and
<br />WHEREAS, HR 3745, the Commt�nity Access Preservation Act, addresses critical and
<br />irnmediate threats to PEG.
<br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RES4LVED:

<br />Noirth Suburbs, a p�blia access facility serving the Cities of Arden Hills, F'alcon Heights,
<br />Lauderdale, Li�tle Canada, Mo�nds View, New Brigl�tc�n, North Oaks, Roseville, St.
<br />Anthony az�d Shoreview, MN, supports i�n2nedia�e passage of HR 3745; and
<br />2. The Board o�' Direcfnrs of The North S�burba� Access Catparation, DBA CTV
<br />North Su�t�rbs, cal�s on our Congressional delegation to take all possible actions in
<br />support of the passage of I-�R 3745, inc�uding but noi limited io endorsing, co-sponsoring
<br />ar�d voting for H�t 3'745, and tn wortc for its rapid passage.
