The Council annually appoints citizens to the <br />commissions. Commissions advise the Council on specific actions and offer citizens a way to <br />provide input on issues of importance. <br />Per Resolution No. 10266 Commissioners are limited to serving two consecutive, three-year <br />terms and are required to reapply for reappointment to a second term. The resolution states that <br />"A. No later than sixty days....the Council will consider whether to interview the commissioner; <br />if two council members request, a commissioner seeking reappointment will be scheduled to <br />attend an interview before the entire Council. S. Should the Council determine that the <br />individual merits reappointment, that person will be reappointed." <br />Commissioners are appointed to terms that begin April 1 of each year. The following <br />Commissioners' terms expire March 31, 2010: <br />Ethics Commission <br />LuAnne Pederson — eligible for reappointment <br />Human Rights Commission <br />Thelma McKenzie - eligible for reappointment <br />David Singleton — eligible for reappointment <br />Parks and Recreation Commission <br />Matthew Hiber — eligible for reappointment <br />David Holt — eligible for reappointment <br />Sarah Lenz Srodt — eligible for reappointment <br />Harold Ristow — eligible for reappointment <br />Planning Commission <br />Daniel Soerigter — eligible for reappointment <br />Jim Doherty — eligible for reappointment <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
