EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />*�*�**�****�t*f�t <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the Sth day of <br />January, 2004, at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: and, and the following were absent:. <br />Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION xxxx <br />Establish a Process and Timeline to Appoint Someone to Fill the City Council <br />Seat Vacancy <br />WHEREAS, MN Statute 412.02 requires the City to appoint a person to fill the <br />vacancy until an election is held to fill the position; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to appoint someone to the seat as <br />quickly as practical. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville establishes an <br />application period from Tuesday, January 6 to January 13 with a <br />special Council meeting on January 20 to interview candidates, and at <br />the January 26 meeting appoint someone to fill the vacant Council <br />seat. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Member, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof, <br />and .
