Mayor Kysylyczyn noted the favorable working <br />relationship that had developed with Community <br />Development Director Dennis Welsch, even though they <br />had previously had numerous disagreements related to <br />personal property and code enforcement issues. <br />In closing, Mayor Kysylyczyn thanked the people in the <br />community for an unbelievable opportunity, quoting from <br />another source, "I'm an ordinary person who was given an <br />extraordinary opportunity." Mayor Kysylyczyn opined <br />that he had done his best, with the best of his abilities, and <br />looked forward to positive benefits coming out of those <br />programs initiated during his tenure as Mayor. Mayor <br />Kysylyczyn noted that he was not running for the Special <br />Election, but planned to remain involved in city politics, <br />and would continue to operate his Web site to address <br />political issues in Roseville, and anticipated future public <br />service. <br />Councilmember Kough commented that he had <br />appreciated working with Mayor Kysylyczyn and <br />recognized his dedication to the City. <br />Councilmember Schroeder, while acknowledging that <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn worked on a"different clock," <br />recognized that his services had benefited the community <br />and expressed his appreciation. <br />Councilmember Klausing thanked Mayor Kysylyczyn for <br />the gift; recognized the difficulty of the job and the <br />number of phone calls fielded by the Mayor; and <br />expressed appreciation to Mayor Kysylyczyn for his <br />service to the community. <br />Councilmember Maschka thanked Mayor Kysylyczyn for <br />his service to the community. <br />XIV.
