H. . <br />Department Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />��� Consent <br />�� �� <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION <br />Great Lalces Shipwrecic Preservation Society's One Day Gambling License <br />BACKGROUND <br />Great Lalces Shipwrecic Preservation Society has applied for an Exemption from Lawful <br />Gambling Licensing Requirements to conduct lawful gambling activities on February 28,2004 at <br />the Roseville High School located at 1240 W. County Road B2. <br />The Minnesota Charitable Gambling Regulations allow any nonprofit organization, which <br />conducts lawful gambling for less than five (5) days per year, and total prizes do not exceed <br />$50,000.00 in value, to be exempt from the licensing requirements if the city approves. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion approving Great Lalces Shipwrecic Preservation Society request to conduct a raffle on <br />February 28,2004, at the Roseville High School located at 1240 W. County Road B2. <br />
