1 1005.08: MOTOR VEHICLE RENTAL AND LEASING BUSINESSES: ? A. '; Motor vehicle rental and leasing businesses as tenants S in office and office service buildings may be allowed through the issuance of a conditional use � permit in the B-1B, B-2, B-3, B-4 and B-6 Zoning Districts. ln the review of such applications, it � 5 shall be determined that the storage of vehicles on the premises shall be purely an accessory use, fi does not funcrion as display or advertising and does not alter the appearance and character of the 7 property. B � B. Additional Conditions: In addition to other conditions that rn;�•need to be attached to these I� conditional use permits to ensure compliance with the intent of this Section, motor vehicle rental I I and leasing businesses shall conform to the following standards: I'_ 1. Small Vehicles: For rental and leasing businesses, a small vehicle is defined as a motor vehicle I 3 intended primarily for passenger use and no taller than seven feet (7') in height and no longer than I� twenty feet (20') in length. IS 2. Large Vehicles: For rental land leasing businesses, a large vehicle is defined as any motor ][• vehicle other than a small vehicle. 17 3. Parking Spaces: The number of parking spaces on site for rental vehicles shall be above and 1� beyond the number required by the City for employees of the rental or leasing business and for I�+ other uses on the site or in the same building. �Q 4. Maintenance; Cleaning: All maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, all equipment for � I maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, and all trailers or other equipment or devices used for �� transporting vehicles shall be completely within the principal building or completely screened �! from eye level of adjacent public streets, residential areas and from other tenant spaces if the use is '•� in a multi-tenant building. �� 5. Storage of Vehicles: Storage of vehicles shall not interfere with the safe and efficient access and '_6 circulation of vehicles and pedestrians on site. �7 6. Office Building Location Restrictions: lf located in an office building, only small vehicles may : B be rented or leased and the parking spaces, signage and other visible evidence of the rental or ��k leasing business shall be compatible with the office setting. Surface Covering. The entire site, other than that taken up by a structure or planting, shall be 3C� surfaced with asphalt or concrete. �— 3S B. Drainage System: A drainage system subject to the approval of the Public Works Director shall be �J� installed. AI[ drainage systems shall include an oil elimination catch basin. �� d! C. Parking and Service Areas and Curbs: No parking or service area shall be less than five feet (5') +9� from a property line and a box curb shall separate the public sidewalk from such parking and/or �� service areas except at approved entrances and exits. �$
