1005.08: MOTOR VEHICLE RENTAL AND LEASING BUSINESSES: <br />� A. �' Motor vehicle rental and leasing businesses as tenants <br />1 in office and office service buildings may be allowed through the issuance of a conditional use <br />� pernut in the B-1 B, B-2, B�, B-4 and B-6 Zoning Districts. In the review of such applications, it I <br />� sha11 be determinedthat the storage of vehicles on the premises sha11 be purely an accessory use, <br />� does not function as display or advertising and does not alter the appearance and character of the <br />- property. <br />8 <br />� B. Additional Conditions: In addition to other conditions that may need to be attached to these <br />I� conditional use permits to ensure compliance with the intent of this Section, motor vehicle rental <br />I 1 and leasing businesses shall conform to the following standards: <br />I: 1. Small Vehicles: For rental and leasing businesses, a small vehicle is defined as a motor vehicle <br />�� intended primarily for passenger use and no taller than seven feet (7') in height and no longer than <br />C� twenry feet (20') in length. <br />"_ � 2. Large Vehicles: For rental land leasing businesses, a large vehicle is defined as any motor <br />ti� vehicle other than a small vehicle. <br />�' 3. Parking Spaces: The number of parking spaces on site for rental vehicles shall be above and <br />1 d beyond the number required by the City for employees of the rental or leasing business and for <br />I� other uses on the site or in the same building. <br />:� 4. Maintenance; Cleaning: All maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, all equipment for <br />� � maintenanceand cleaning of vehicles, and all trailers or other equipmentor devices used for <br />:� transporting vehicles sha11 be completely within the principal building or completely screened <br />�] from eye level of adjacentpublic streets, residentialareas and from other tenant spaces if the use is <br />�� in a multi-tenantbuilding. <br />�-` 5. Storage of Vehicles: Storage of vehicles shall not interfere with the safe and efficient access and <br />26 circulation of vehicles and pedestrians on site. <br />�� 6. Office Building Location Restrictions: If located in an office building only small vehicles may <br />�� be rented or leased and the parking spaces, signage and other visible evidence of the rental or <br />�� leasing business shall be compatible with the officesetting. (Ord. 1099, 8-26�1); amd. 1995 <br />�{� Code) <br />jl <br />3� 1005.09s AUTOMOBILE SERVICE STATIONS AND CONVENIENCE STORES SELLING <br />� } FUEL: <br />�� Automobile service stations shall conform to the following standards: <br />}5 A. Surface Covering: The entire site, other than that taken up by a structure or planting sha11 be <br />3f, surfaced with asphalt or concrete. <br />�" <br />3N B. DrainageSystem: A drainage system subject to the approval of the Public Works Directorshall be <br />t� installed. All drainage systems shall include an oil elimination catch basin. <br />ddF <br />� I C. Parking and Service Areas and Curbs: No parking or service area shall be less than five feet (5') <br />�2 from a properLy line and a box curb shall separate the public sidewalk from such parking andlor <br />�� service areas except at approved entrances and exits. <br />�� <br />
