In return Coca-Cola receives: (forfive vears <br />Brand exposure (signage at Skating Center, etc.) same <br />Exclusive product identity and sales at <br />all Roseville Parks and Recreation facilities same <br />Ten event passes 25 Golf passes <br />75 Skating Center <br />passes <br />An annual "skate night" for Coca-Cola employees same <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />The proposed agreement is consistent with the approved program which is <br />included in the department budget to obtain sponsorships and donations for the <br />support of the operations of Roseville Parks and Recreation activities. <br />The Request for Proposals was developed with the following criteria: <br />♦ the benefits to the City were equal to or better than benefits to sponsor <br />♦ all proposed conditions were in writing <br />♦ agreement will be reviewed by legal counsel <br />♦ final offer approved by City Council <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATION <br />Cash contributions received will be deposited in the Parks and Recreation Fund- <br />Roseville Skating Center account. The monies received are to be used to cover <br />the operating costs as they relate to promotions, advertising and special events. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Based on the significant financial contributions and the determination of this <br />offer to be the best available opportunity, the staff recommends the City of <br />Roseville enter into the proposed agreement with Midwest Coca-Cola <br />Bottling Company. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion authorizing the City Manager to enter into the attached agreement with <br />Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc., d/b/a Midwest Coca-Cola Bottling Company with final <br />review by the City Attorney. <br />
