January 28,2004 <br />To: City of Roseville <br />Re: Application for Twin Lakes Stakeholder Panel <br />To whom it may concern: <br />Multicare Associates has been a member of the business community in Roseville since <br />we opened our first clinic — Rosedale Medical Center — in 1984. We outgrew two <br />locations in the Roseville area. In 1990 we purchased the Mack Hotel property at the <br />corner of Fairview and County Road C with the intention of demolishing the hotel and <br />remodeling the motel portion of the building into a medical clinic. The City of Roseville <br />approached us requesting we consider demolishing the entire Mack Hotel and Motel and <br />build a flagship building as a gateway to the Twin Lakes Redevelopment. Working with <br />Ryan Construction and the City of Roseville we did demolish the entire Mack <br />Hotel/Motel building and built a multi-tenant medical building on the properiy. We did <br />this based on our belief that the area would redevelop and we felt strongly we wanted to <br />be part of that. <br />The Twin Lakes Medical Center building opened in September of 1994. The building <br />has long tem leases with three major tenants — Multicare Associates, Park Dental and <br />Allina. It is important to us to be delivering medical and dental services to the Roseville <br />residents in a location that is convenient. We have expanded the services that are <br />available and look forward to adding additional services in the future. One of the areas <br />Multicare focuses on is Occupational Health. The location is convenient for employers in <br />both the St. Paul and Minneapolis areas. <br />We have been very active in the Roseville community participating in the area Chamber <br />of Commerce, Business Owners Association as well as others. MulticareAssociates <br />volunteered our time and services for the Star of the North Games. <br />Speaking for Multicare Associates as well as a Twin Lakes Medical Center building <br />owner we whole-heartedly support redeveloping the area. Much as been done in the <br />Centre Point development but much is yet to be done.
