Purpose. The Roseville City Code, Title 10, Sections 1011.01 through <br />F 1 1011.05 and Section 1002.02 are hereby amended by revising language regarding <br />�� nonconforminguses and structures to provide more clarity and ease of use of this section. <br />�3 SECTION 2. Section 1002.02 (Definition of "NonconformingStructure") is hereby <br />] � amended as follows: <br />1� NONCONFORMING USE OR STRUCTURE: A nonconforming use or structure is <br />] 6 any use, placement, or arrangement of land and/or structures legally existing prior to the <br />1� enactment of a Code provision prohibiting such use or structure. <br />1� <br />]� <br />�� <br />�� <br />�? <br />�� <br />�� <br />�5 <br />��r <br />SECTION 3. CHAPTER 1011 and Section 1011(Title) is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br />CHAPTER 1011 <br />NONFORMING USES AND STRUCTURES <br />SECTION 4. Section 1011, subsections 1011.01 through 1011.05 are hereby <br />amended as follows: <br />� 1011.01: DEFINITION: <br />�$ A nonconforming use or structure . A pre-existing nonconforming use or structure may be continued but may not be extended, <br />expanded, intensified or changed, unless to a conforming use. Exceptions include: <br />l. An expansion of a pre-existing residential principal or accessory structure in an R-1 or <br />R-2 zoning district which maintains the same property line setbacics and structure <br />separations provided there is no further encroachment of any non-conforming structural <br />
