During this conversation, I would have to watch what comes out of my mouth and make <br />sure that it is kind and not exclusive. I could also invite some of my friends who I <br />normally sit with at lunch to come and sit at another table with me. While sitting at the <br />new table I could also invite some of the kids to come and sit with my friends and I at <br />our usual lunch table. <br />Second, I could talk to other people at my school, mostly meaning my friends, <br />about putting out an extra effort to try to have a wide variety of friends including friends <br />of all races. My friends may or may not be open to this idea for a few different reasons. <br />First, most students at my school have at least one friend of another race, but that <br />student also belongs to a group that is mainly if not entirely made up of students of that <br />same race. That group seems to be the friend's first choice when they need to talk <br />about something and the group they most open up to, whether it is because they can <br />better relate to each other or for a different reason. Also, some of the students may not <br />be able to understand the students of other ethnicities when they are talking, whether <br />they are talking in a different language or if they are talking in English. People of <br />different races seem to use different linguistics, which can sometimes be hard to <br />understand. <br />I myself could also try to befriend someone of a different ethnicity. I have a few <br />friends of different races but I am not particularly close to any of them, and that is <br />something I could work on. Again, I am not sure if my friends would want to be closer or <br />if they prefer to be closer to people of the same race, but I could definitely try to get <br />closer to them and to make some new friends. I also make many comments about <br />others, and some of them are racial. I need to be careful about what I say and I would <br />� <br />
