Regular City Council Meeting — 02/09/04 <br />DR1lF'I' Minutes - Page 6 <br />1��� <br />Total <br />� ] Q.�]{� <br />�984,629.99 <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan, Schroeder, Maschlca, Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Then the Council considered the items removed from <br />the Consent Agenda. <br />3.2 (Removed from Consent Agenda) Approve Change <br />Orders for City Center Building Projects <br />City Manger Beets provided a general overview of the <br />most recent Change Orders and revisions in construction <br />for the City's construction project. <br />Councilmember Kough expressed his concern that <br />additional Change Orders were again before the City <br />Council. <br />Mayor Klausing sought clarification on the savings to-date <br />and additional expenditures, as they related to the <br />contingency fund. Mayor Klausing requested additional <br />detail for future Change Orders in order to justify <br />unanticipated expenses. <br />Project Manager Duane Schwartz reviewed the nature of <br />the Change Orders presented to-date for unanticipated, <br />unscheduled items and alternates, and rislc variables in <br />hiring a Construction Manager versus General Contractor <br />for the project; and noted they represent approximately <br />three percent (3%)of the total project cost. <br />Approve Change <br />Orders for City <br />Center Building <br />Projects <br />
