Consider Approving Concept Plan for Improving the Dale <br />Street Athletic Fields <br />Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke reviewed <br />historical and background events, necessitating the closing of the <br />Central Park Dale Street Athletic fields due to turf deterioration. <br />Mr. Brokke reviewed continuing poor turf conditions, expense of <br />ongoing renovations, safety concerns and overall interest in <br />upgrading the existing field complex, the Roseville Area Youth <br />Associations, who were primary users of the fields, brought forth <br />a concept proposal for Council consideration. The concept plan <br />includes fencing and lighting of the two (2) multi-use athletic <br />fields, a concession/storage facility, and an additional thirty (30) <br />parking spaces. <br />Mr. Brokke advised that staff, neighbors, community groups and <br />the Parks and Recreation Commission had reviewed the <br />proposed plan, along with reviewing past, current and future uses <br />of the athletic fields, with all groups endorsing the proposed <br />Consider <br />Approving Concept <br />Plan for Improving <br />the Dale Street <br />Athletic Fields <br />
