Date: 02/23/04 <br />Item: 21 <br />� Minutes of 02/07/04 <br />� � . <br />� .. � <br />City Council Minutes <br />DRAFT—Special Council Study Session—DRAFT <br />Joint Meeting with Roseville Citizen Commission Chairs <br />and City Department Heads <br />Saturday, February 7,2004 <br />Harriet Alexander Nature Center, 2520 North Dale Street, Roseville <br />1 Convene Meeting/Call Roll <br />Mayor Klausing called the joint Special Study Session among <br />Roseville City Councilmembers, City Commission Chairs, and <br />City Department Heads to order at 9:05 a.m. in the Harriet <br />Alexander Nature Center, 2520 North Dale Street, Roseville, <br />MN, with all due notice having been provided. Mayor Klausing, <br />Councilmember Maschka, and Councilmember-elect Amy Ihlan <br />were present. Councilmembers Schroeder and Kough were not <br />in attendance. <br />2. Welcome and Introductions <br />Mayor Klausing welcomed those attending and stated the <br />purpose of this joint meeting as Phase One of a three-phase <br />process to create City goals and objectives; with Phase Two <br />involving Town Hall meetings in the community to receive input <br />from citizens; and Phase Three involving City Council goals and <br />priority setting. <br />Mayor Klausing noted his privilege in serving Roseville, <br />recognizing volunteers and staff serving the community, which <br />was known for its innovation and well-run government. <br />Introductions were made. <br />Staff Present: Community Development Director Dennis <br />Welsch; Finance Director Chris Miller; Police Lieutenant Rick <br />Mathwig; Fire Chief Rich Gasaway; Public Works Director <br />Duane Schwartz, Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke; <br />and City Manager Neal Beets. <br />Commission Chairs/Representatives Present: Housing and <br />Redevelopment Authority (HRA) Chair Bill Majerus; Planning <br />Commission Chair Jim Mulder; Public Works and <br />Convene Meeting <br />C all Roll <br />9:05 a.m. <br />Welcome and <br />Introductions <br />
