Beazer East, Inc. The Beazer Settlementprovides substantial <br />compensation to owners of buildings with Beazer Phenolic Foam Roof Insulation, including <br />complete remediation of the metal roof deck, compensation for the removal and replacement <br />of the existing roof system and other important benefits detailed below. We were appointed <br />by the United States District Court as Lead Class Counsel, and one of our responsibilitiesis <br />to assist class members through the settlement claims process to ensure that you receive the <br />settlement compensation to which you are entitled. <br />We have been advised that a claim has been filed on your behalf for benefits under <br />the Beazer settlement. We are writing this letter to you because we want to make certain that <br />you receive the maximum benefits to which you are entitled under the settlement. It is <br />critical that you understand the settlement process and take the steps necessary to ensure that <br />you receive your entitled compensation. <br />In general, the Beazer East Class Settlement provides the following benefits: <br />a. A comprehensive inspection of your entire roofing system and metal Deck <br />System by the Beazer Third Party Inspector and the issuance to you of a <br />detailed Field Inspection Report, provided to at the cost of the defendant, <br />Beazer East; <br />b. The complete remediation of the entire existing metal Deck System to ensure <br />its new condition through: (a) deck replacement; (b) deck corrosion resistant <br />coating and deck overlaymentand (c) painting; <br />c. The removal and replacement of the entire existing roof system, pro-rated; <br />
