original application. We will consider requests for reconsideration of decisions other
than those related to the initial grant award on their merits. Similarly, we will not
consider new information provided after the submission of the original application. In
the case of new information, we encourage applicants to incorporatetheir changed
circumstances into their applications for future grant cycles.
We will accept requests for reconsideration for applicants whose applications
were denied solely on the basis that their applications contained items that were not
compliant with national standards. In such instances, if it is determined that the
application was denied solely on this basis, we will allow the applicant to submit a new
application with items that are compliant with national standards. These new
applications will undergo a special panel, following the application process described
above, to determine whether or not they are worthy of funding based on the established
evaluation criteria.
We must receive a request for reconsideration under this section within 60 days of
the date of the notice of the decision for which reconsideration is requested. Requests for
reconsideration should be directed to: Director, Grants Program Office, Office for
Domestic Preparedness, Room 640, 800 K Street, NW, Washington, DC 20531.
3'
