original application. We will consider requests for reconsideration of decisions other <br />than those related to the initial grant award on their merits. Similarly, we will not <br />consider new information provided after the submission of the original application. In <br />the case of new information, we encourage applicants to incorporatetheir changed <br />circumstances into their applications for future grant cycles. <br />We will accept requests for reconsideration for applicants whose applications <br />were denied solely on the basis that their applications contained items that were not <br />compliant with national standards. In such instances, if it is determined that the <br />application was denied solely on this basis, we will allow the applicant to submit a new <br />application with items that are compliant with national standards. These new <br />applications will undergo a special panel, following the application process described <br />above, to determine whether or not they are worthy of funding based on the established <br />evaluation criteria. <br />We must receive a request for reconsideration under this section within 60 days of <br />the date of the notice of the decision for which reconsideration is requested.
