Date: 03/29/04 <br />It�; 3.1 <br />Can�rdia Meadows Burn Pern�t <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTI�ON <br />� � <br />Item Description: Request for burn permit to burn wild growth at Ramsey County Park located at Lake <br />McCarrons. Site is four acres in size, located on the south end of the park. <br />BACKGROLJND: <br />1. Ramsey County is requesting a bum permit for the purpose of burning the natural area on the site for <br />the purpose of restoring the native vegetation. <br />2. Ramsey County will conduct the controlled burn and provide adequate equipment and trained <br />personnel. <br />3. The request is for a period of April 1 through May 10 to a11ow for a fle�ble schedule for the proper <br />weather conditions. <br />STAFF RECO�NDATIONS: <br />1. Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the Fire Marshal to issue a bum permit to the <br />Ramsey County Department of Public Works for the period of April 1 through May 10,2004 to burn <br />the 4 acres of wild vegetation on the south end of McCarrons Park. <br />2. Staff further recommends that the Ramsey County Public Works Department be required to notify the <br />Roseville Fire Dispatch (651 �84-1267) 24 hours prior to the burn, as a condition of the issuance of <br />the permit. <br />Prepared by: John Loftus, Fire Marshal <br />
