A copy of the statue is <br />enclosed and you will note that it sets the salary limit of a position to 95 percent of the <br />Governor's salary unless a waiver is granted. Currentiy, 95 percent of the Governor's salary is <br />$114,288. <br />It has come to our attention �hat the salary cap has been exceeded in yourjurisdiction for the <br />position of City Manager and that there is no waiver on record for the cuirent compensation of <br />$120,137 for that position. This iigure includes salary plus a car allowance and other payments <br />defined as compensation in the statute. If this information is not correct, please contact our <br />off'ice immediately with the correct information. <br />This inforrnation came to DOER by way of a waiverrequest from n local government and has <br />been forwarded on to the Legislative Coardinating Commission Subcommittee on Employee <br />Relations.
