Consider Authorization to Add a 50-foor Extension to the <br />City Hall Campus Monopole <br />Finance Director Chris Miller summarized ongoing discussions <br />with two additional wireless phone providers seeking to lease <br />space on the City Hall Campus monopole. <br />Mr. Miller advised that to accommodate their service needs, the <br />additional extension, originally discussed at the Council's June <br />16, 2003 meeting, would need to be installed. Mr. Miller noted <br />that, before staff could finalize negotiations, the Council would <br />need to consider approval of the additional 50' extension. Mr. <br />Miller further advised that tentative agreements were in the legal <br />review stage now with both firms, and the final agreements <br />would come before the City Council for their approval prior to <br />execution. <br />Mr. Miller provided a series of slides to gain perspective on the <br />visual impacts of the current pole at 100 feet, and the extension <br />at 150 feet. Mr. Miller noted that to-date, only one negative <br />comment had been received on the 100 foot pole, and he didn't <br />anticipate numerous negative comments related to the extension. <br />Discussion included how public notice was given related to the <br />Consider <br />Authorization to <br />Add a 50-foor <br />Extension to the <br />City Hall Campus <br />Monopole <br />
