City of <br />l� <br />y� Minnesota, USA <br />City Council Proclamatz'on <br />Honoring Roseville Scout Troop I50 <br />Date: 04/26/04 <br />Item: 9.a <br />Proclamsnoa <br />C� Sc� Trcwp #150 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is encouraging citizens to take pride in their <br />community by picking up litter; and <br />WHEREAS, our youth are only a small part of our population but are 100°/a of our <br />future; and <br />WHEREAS, the youth who belong to Boy Scout Troop 150 serve under the leadership <br />of Brian Veach and the sponsorship of Calvary Baptist Church; and <br />WHEREAS, Scout Troop 150 decided to serve their community on Saturday, April 17, <br />2004, by picking up litter in the area of Roseville's Langton Lake ; and <br />WHEREAS, on that day 14 scouts, 14 parents, and 3 siblings helped to clean-up that <br />area; and <br />WHEREAS, among the items the Scouts cleaned from that area included a truck bed, a <br />swing set, a snowmobile, drums, a car battery, lumber, a gaxbage can, a folding table and <br />approximately 30 bags of garbage; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Roseville City Council hereby <br />honors and commends Scout Troop 150 for their dedication to a more beautiful Roseville. <br />By your example, you teach us to work hard, have fun, and take pride in our community. <br />Dated this 26th Day of April, 2004. <br />Craig Klausing <br />Roseville Mayor <br />
