FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS <br />The total funds allocated for the Juvenile Accountability Block Grant (JABG) period January 1, 2004, to <br />June 30, 2005, are $6,929. The city of Roseville will be responsible for one-ninth of the $6,929—a sum of <br />$770. The city match of $770 will be disbursed from police department alcohol or drug forfeiture funds. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Allow the Roseville Police Department to contract with the Minnesota Department of Economic <br />Security to accept the Juvenile Accountability Block Grant (JABG) funds. The Roseville Police <br />Department will not be in a position to pursue the youth mentoring program and the parent support <br />group without the funds available through this grant. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager and the Chief of Police to accept the grant application <br />entitled, "Juvenile Accountability Block Grant (JABG)." <br />
