FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS
The total funds allocated for the Juvenile Accountability Block Grant (JABG) period January 1, 2004, to
June 30, 2005, are $6,929. The city of Roseville will be responsible for one-ninth of the $6,929—a sum of
$770. The city match of $770 will be disbursed from police department alcohol or drug forfeiture funds.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Allow the Roseville Police Department to contract with the Minnesota Department of Economic
Security to accept the Juvenile Accountability Block Grant (JABG) funds. The Roseville Police
Department will not be in a position to pursue the youth mentoring program and the parent support
group without the funds available through this grant.
COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED
Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager and the Chief of Police to accept the grant application
entitled, "Juvenile Accountability Block Grant (JABG)."
