Mathwig responded about the process and officer <br />discretion in whether a formal written report was filed or <br />whether the dispatch report would suffice. Lt. Mathwig <br />encouraged residents to seek additional information from <br />the department on an individual basis to address and review <br />specific concerns. <br />Mayor Klausing reviewed briefly the structure of the City <br />and its basic operations and functions; noting that <br />Councilors served on a part-time Council representation <br />basis; and depended on communication with staff to <br />implement Council policy for practical day-to-day <br />operations of the City. <br />B. Unidentifed Speaker <br />Information was sought related to other drainage <br />improvements and the process to pursue such <br />improvements that were similar to that recently completed <br />at the Arona Pond as part of the Applewood Pointe <br />development proj ect. <br />Mayor Klausing requested that the City's staff Engineer <br />Debra Bloom address this question. <br />Ms. Bloom reviewed various water management and <br />surface water issues, their environmental impact other <br />considerations. Ms. Bloom identified the three different <br />watershed districts located within the City confines, noting <br />that additional information was available at the department <br />display table, and they could address specific concerns at <br />that time as well. <br />At the request of another unidentified speaker, Ms. Bloom <br />defined water quality versus water quantity (storm water) <br />issues; and ways to identify neighborhood drainage issues <br />and various venues that could be pursued. <br />Mayor Klausing encouraged residents to identify and <br />discuss drainage issues with staff for possible remedy. <br />
