REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Date: 6/14/04 <br />Item No.: g, <br />Department Approval: Manager Reviewed Agenda Section <br />� '� � Hearings <br />Description: The Backyard Bar & Grill application for an On-Sale and Sunday <br />Intoxicating liquor license at 2100 Snelling. <br />Background <br />The Backyard Bar& Grill has applied for an On-Sale and Sunday Intoxicating liquor licenses at 2100 <br />Snelling Avenue, formally the Ground Round location. The City Attorney will review the <br />application prior to the is suance of the license to ensure that it is in order. A representative from The <br />Backyard Bar & Grill will attend the hearing to answer any questions the Council may have. <br />The City currently has 24 On-Sale and Sunday Intoxicating liquor licenses issued. <br />Financial Implications <br />The revenue that is generated from the license fees collected is used to offset the cost of police <br />compliance checks, background investigations, enforcement of liquor laws, and license <br />administration. <br />Recommendations <br />It is recommended that the license be approved for the period June 14,2004 thru December 31, <br />2004. <br />Council Action <br />Motion approving/denying the application for an Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for The <br />Backyard Bar & Grill. <br />
