Mayor Klausing noted that the City would be pleased to take back some current County jurisdictioned roads, but noted the City's frustration in their standard of maintenance compared to the City's and the major expenses incurred by the City to bring them up to acceptable Roseville standards. Commissioner Wiessner noted the lack of County funding for road construction proj ects. Mayor Klausing thanked Commissioner Wiessner for her presentation. 6. Vernon Albertson Application for a Two Lot Minor Subdivision of Property at 3103 Asbury (PF 3556) Mayor Klausing noted that the City Council was not reconsidering this item tonight to allow adequate notification to the public prior to further discussion. Attorney Dan Wall, representing the Albertsons Mr. Wall reviewed the process to-date, and opined that the Council's discussion at the May 10, 2004 meeting and subsequent action to deny had to do with the current City ordinance, noting that the other policy items alluded to by Councilmembers were not applicable to the discussion and should not have been under consideration at that time related to the requested action. Mr. Wall noted the potential hardship to the Albertsons by waiting until June 14 and their plans for selling and moving. Mr. Wall noted that additional work if the request is granted (i.e., survey work, drawing up of new abstract, recording) would further delay the project and should be considered by the City Council in their action tonight. Mr. Wall encouraged the City Council to act on the item tonight, and remove conditions numbers 3.8, 3.9 and 3.10 as noted in the staff report dated May 10, 2004. Discussion included the Planning Commission's action in denying the original variance request and the process to bring the requestor a minor subdivision directly to the City Council and Vernon Albertson Two Lot Minor Subdivision 3103 Asbury (PF 3556)
